TAKATORI in the US in 2009

This post is for recording purposes and as an introduction to COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS' guitarist, TAKATORI. He is currently in the VISITORS TEAM- COTD's current line-up.

A bit of info on Nobu Takatori:
He was COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS' guitarist in 1992 for Queens Park all you change and SINKING SLOWLY (in MY SPEEDY SARAH).

In 1989, he used to be the guitarist in the band, THE OTHERSIDE (as Knob). He was in the band with ex-COTD bassist, Kawanaka Yoshio. (Kawanaka was known as Ryo.)
In 1992, he was also the guitarist in the band, CRAWFISH, with KAWANAKA.

He is in a band called, ZETKI, with his brother, Hideaki. They have done music for some animes and tokusatsu (Japanese scifi action) shows.

In 2009 (October 30 - November 1) Zetki performed at SugoiCon in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.

Here's their interview with Sugoicon:

Hanamaru Kindergarten photos

Last year, I knew that the Hanamaru Kindergarten website had a blog but I didn't find any blog entries about WATCHMAN or NARASAKI until today!
I finally decided to go through all their posts and found CUTE pictures of WATCHMAN and NARASAKI with Hanamaru Kindergarten's spokesperson mascot, PandaNeko (panda cat).

He mentions that NARASAKI was the director for the sound mixing (I think...).

NOTE: This image had animated sparkles but I couldn't save the image since it was a flash file.
This is also my favorite photo of NARASAKI. <3

No DVDs?!

Hey COTD FANs,

There seems to be a bit of a problem with pre-ordering The Breastroke II including the DVD.
HMV and CDJapan only provide the standard edition.
Why? I don't know... SO I e-mailed COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS' manager, Kozo Kurata.

My e-mail:

Dear COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS,

How can overseas fans purchase your The Breastroke II album WITH the DVD?
HMV and CDJapan have The Breastroke II on pre-order, but they do not include the DVD.
How can we get the edition with the DVD?

Thank you!

- HT

His reply:

Because DVD is enclosed to for first time production entirely, I think that I
do not have any problem if even HMV and CDJapan purchase a first time
share and follow it.

kozokurata

Honestly, I don't understand what he meant by that...
I'm going to ask one of the COTD FAN staff members to e-mail him in Japanese.

new new NEW!!!! <3

Otsuki Kenji and the Zetsubou Girls [NOVEMBER 2009]

Hey COTD FANS,

I finally decided to make an update blog for COTD FAN.
These blog posts will be quick updates on what I find that's COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS-related/NARASAKI-related from celebrity blogs or websites.

Today's entry will be focused on Ostuki Kenji and the Zetsubou Girls' last tour day photos.

Unfortunately, I don't have much information on Otsuki Kenji and the Zetsubou Girls. I just know that Otsuki Kenji is the vocalist (along with the voice actresses from the anime, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei), NARASAKI is the guitarist and composer (for most songs), Kenjiro Murai is the bassist, and DIE is a support member (I think he's the keyboardist, but I'm not sure).

We're photographing tomfoolery during the rehearsal of the Mr. Ohtsuki's appearance. Oh! he came out, he came out , ha ha ha~,,,

http://voice.die1964.com/?eid=1114678

Yesterday we played 3"Kenji O:tsuki&Zetubo: Girls" 's songs at Saitama Super Arena. The stage was sssooo big! I was so happy and excited!

Multi-national rockers and "kawaii"Japanese girls...

Well, Kenji O:tsuki's appearance's great anyway! it's so natural..but he' s such an "entertainer"

And I admire the professionalism and nice atomosphere of sweet-voice actresses. I wanna follow them.

And I admire the works of Nackie (NARASAKI)that are complicated and sometimes not so easy to understandand..he's a genius musician!
but he is not so strong in writing sheet music (I helped him to do it at the backstage, ha ha ha)
